VYM Resources Assistance
One of our newer programs,
Community Assistance, is a different type of experience. Some individuals have
concerns about using the Internet and sharing personal information; restricting
health conditions wherein individuals are not physically able to come out;
individuals who prefer individual assistance as opposed to group; busy
lifestyles--needing someone else to take care of personal obligations such as
paying bills. Our assistance via Internet include paying bills (cable,
telephone, and G&E); understanding billing statements such as various charges (a
major concern for some); renewing automobile and other type
registrations and certifications; requesting copies of birth, marriage or death
certificates; and more. Reiterating, our program is flexible and self-paced.
Whether we provide direct assistance or individual training, each person would
still be taking a self-directing role in their experience.
